Wheel Balancing – Raunds, Wellingborough

Wheel balancing makes a big difference to your driving experience and economy.

Often overlooked or disregarded, wheel balancing is a crucial factor that plays an important role in getting the most from your vehicle overall. The improvements gained when having your wheels correctly balanced affect performance, economy, and comfort.

Here’s how each aspect can make the difference:

• Performance
Correct wheel balancing will ensure that all four wheels distribute the power through traction and grip evenly. This will optimise the performance. Wheels out of balance will cause a reduction in performance because they are operating against each other.
• Economy
In the same way that performance is increased, so it follows that appreciable gains can be made to a vehicle’s economy with accurate wheel balancing. Incorrect balancing can also increase tyre wear, thereby creating unnecessary costs.
• Comfort
A poorly balanced wheel effectively ‘wobbles’ on its axle, and this is likely to cause vibrations which are transmitted throughout the whole vehicle. This can cause rattles and noises, as well as make the vehicle’s ride uncomfortable and more difficult to drive because of a vibrating steering wheel.
